Decorating with Wallpaper
Wallpaper has gained popularity in the past couple of years due to more trendy patterns and color palettes. The idea of wallpaper is no longer intimidating either due to the ease of installation (and removal) of some peel and stick varieties.
You can easily make a statement with wallpaper- whether it's an entire room, an accent wall or the back of a bookcase or hutch, wallpaper can add a splash of pattern, texture and color to your space. This project can be completed in a single afternoon.
There’s truly an option for every style and taste out there, whether you’re seeking something modern and abstract, something classic and floral or pretty much anything in between.
Incorporating a subtle yet engaging wallpaper into your home can add some visual interest to a room without making the design feel too busy.
Floral wallpaper has always been around. However, today’s patterns appear to be larger scaled, modern colorways and complexity of pattern. The benefit of flower wallpaper is its versatility. It can fit in with traditional or modern decor, no matter the room.
Incorporating a textured wallpaper can be a great option if you want to create dimension in a space without adding prints or colors. Choosing a natural-feeling texture, like grasscloth or burlap immediately helps create a natural feeling in the room, and the depth on the walls can make a space look even bigger.
If you want to elevate a room’s design try a bold, animal wallpaper. They’re an especially great option for nurseries or powder rooms.
I rounded up six wallpapers that I am loving right now. You can check them out here.
