The full story?
With an interior decorating career spanning 18 years, I’ve devoted my work to helping clients transform their homes into spaces that feel comfortable, collected, and deeply personal. Specializing in Modern Coastal design, my work can be found in homes throughout Nova Scotia and across the United States, thanks to my accessible and collaborative Virtual Design Services.
My journey began with a simple but powerful realization: great design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about how it makes you feel. From the initial spark of an idea to the final layered details, I’m committed to creating designs that are as functional as they are beautiful, tailored to the people who live there.
Whether I’m designing a cozy coastal cottage or a contemporary city home, my signature style blends fresh, modern elements with the relaxed charm of coastal living. I believe a well-designed home should support your lifestyle, reflect your personality, and offer a true sense of ease and belonging.
My Virtual Design Services allow me to bring that approach to clients across North America—removing geographical barriers and making design support more accessible. This flexible process empowers clients to bring their vision to life at their own pace, with expert guidance every step of the way.
Over the years, I’ve stayed dedicated to evolving my practice—embracing new tools, design technologies, and sustainable approaches that enhance both the experience and the end result. Each project is a new opportunity to listen, guide, and co-create something meaningful.
At the heart of everything I do is one simple goal: to help people love where they live. Whether through a full-room transformation or a few thoughtful updates, I believe your home should be your sanctuary—and I’m here to help make that happen.
I saw a need—and knew I could fill it.
After nearly two decades of working closely with homeowners—solving problems, streamlining decisions, and guiding them through the design process—I started hearing the same things from fellow designers:
"How do you stay so organized?"
"Can you help me set up my systems?"
"I feel so burnt out… how are you managing it all?"
Designers were reaching out, and I wanted to show up for them the way I wish someone had for me.
I began mentoring other designers, offering the same calm, practical support I had built into my client-facing work. That’s when I realized: so many talented creatives are exhausted, disorganized, and unsure of how to scale their business without sacrificing their sanity.
Now, in addition to working with decorating clients, I offer 1:1 support for designers who want clarity in their business, systems that actually work, and the freedom to focus on the creative side again.
Whether it’s organizing your onboarding, setting up a streamlined workflow in Mydoma or Studio Designer, or simply helping you rebuild your offers to reflect your real value—I’m here to help you bring ease and intention back to your business.
Because we didn’t start our design careers to drown in admin.
We started them to create something beautiful—and actually enjoy our lives while doing it.
Yours at home and in business,
Marsha
